Solved Am I subscribed to the ML or not ?

Hello.

yesterday I've subscribed my self to the ML "freebsd-x11+subscribe@FreeBSD.org" and I've got the reply that I've been subscribed. Later I've sent an email to "freebsd-x11+help@freebsd.org" explaining the problem I have and I've got this reply :

Hi, this is the Mlmmj program managing the <freebsd-x11@FreeBSD.org>
mailing list.

Here is some information about the list.

You can subscribe to the following versions:

- The normal version: Every time a post is sent to the list, subscribers
receive a copy of it. Subscribe by emailing
<freebsd-x11+subscribe@FreeBSD.org>.

- The digest version: Subscribers receive multiple posts in a single mail
message, at regular intervals, or when a lot of posts have accumulated.
Subscribe by emailing <freebsd-x11+subscribe-digest@FreeBSD.org>.

- The no-mail version: Subscribers do not receive any posts to the list.
This means, though, they are able to post to a list which only
subscribers may post to, while they follow the list using a web archive
or another subscribed email address. Subscribe by emailing
<freebsd-x11+subscribe-nomail@FreeBSD.org>.

Unsubscribe by emailing <freebsd-x11+unsubscribe@FreeBSD.org>.

Posts are made by emailing <freebsd-x11@FreeBSD.org>.

However, only subscribers may post to the list.

The list also has access rules which may affect who can post and which
posts are moderated.

Subscribers can retrieve message number N from the list's archive by
sending a message to <freebsd-x11+get-N@FreeBSD.org> (change the N to the
number of the desired message).

You can retrieve the frequently asked questions document for the list by
sending a message to <freebsd-x11+faq@FreeBSD.org>.

To contact the list owner, send a message to
<freebsd-x11+owner@FreeBSD.org>.

So,I've subscribed again to the ML (freebsd-x11+subscribe@FreeBSD.org) sending an email to it,thinking that the first time something may be gone bad and I've got the reply "You were unable to be subscribed to the list because you are already subscribed". So,I suspect there is some technical problem on the ML management. In addition to this,I tried to explore the archive of that ML,here : https://docs.freebsd.org/mail/archive/2021/freebsd-x11/ and I've seen that it is empty ! every block has 0 message. What do you think ?

Yeah, I've done that too. The new mailing list system still has some warts compared to the older mailman, from a usability perspective. bapt@ and others are working on it.

Not what I saw at that URL, but starting from https://lists.freebsd.org/
thence to
https://lists.freebsd.org/subscription/freebsd-x11
which points to
https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-x11/

which shows 1775 messages over the last year.

Sadly,:most of the once-great lists are nowadays swamped with only bugzilla messages, though some seem to have the occasional user question too.
