A rant about bying online difference different countries.

I respectfully disagree. Your freedom is usually far less infringed than those offended.
That is what I always hear.
So tell me one thing: who are these "offended" ones who have so much more right of freedom than me?

Further up You wrote, even if (some woman) is only an "absurdly small percentage" of (some discriminated race), she has all right to be offended.
So let me clarify one thing: my parents are officially recognized racial victims of the NS-dictatorship - which makes me a primarily concerned person.

So please explain to me one more thing: why do You concede all rights of concernment to people who are some minuscule descendance from a prosecuted race, and at the same time declare that my concernment, where I am direct descendant of prosecuted people, is "far less" relevant?

I can only assume that this is because I do not agree to and subdue unto your postulated moral supremacy - which seems to be your actual agenda.

The Beelinks, before the AI bubble, were reasonable. I have one with 32 GB of memory, and a year ago, it was under $400. (Although Beelink by default uses 4GB of memory for the GPU, so, figure 28GB memory. Don't know if that would be enough. But I just looked at their site and things seem *a lot* more expensive now. And on Amazon (US) around $500 USD and up.

The RAMageddon monster strikes again!

With gnu make, if you just say "make -j" and omit the numeric argument, it will automatically choose the maximum number of parallel jobs to spawn. On freebsd there's the numcpus command that prints the number of cores in the box to stdout.

It's a good sign that we're able to discuss this kind of stuff without starting with the flame wars, "welcome to my kill-file", "ignoring you now", etc. This is a good forum. If you guys can put up with my rants... well, that takes a lot of forbearance. :)

I think that a)as I've said before, many members here are older, and a bit less concerned about showing how tough we are. Just a guess on my part, not an educated explanation. :)
