Do we live in one ?
How would one tell the difference? Answer that question purely using general relativity and relativistic quantum mechanics.Do we live in one ?
Alain De Vos which one do you have in mind?Do we live in one ?
Not sure if we live inside a black, but I have heard that we do live inside something called a void. I haven’t looked into it much though.Do we live in one ?
I posted a bit more about this, and there is more pointing in that direction which I did not reference. But I have no hard proof right now, and you have no hard evidence to disprove. Yes, I'm pretty certain. But if we do or if we don't - what is the difference for us?
It called black hole because John Wheeler had great sense of humor ( brilliant physicist built big scientific school ). There was an objection from scientific community against such a name specially french ones. I highly recommend Kip Thorn's ( student of Wheeler and also brlliant physicist ) "Black Holes and Time Warps: Einsteins Outrageous Legacy" book. it is non-sci book with lots of fun stories. Personally i do not believe black hole are object from Einstein's theory -- because field equations break down inside a black hole. which is an indication that gravity in extreme regimes breaks down and incomplete in that sense or black holes are something else. my personal belief is that this are regions of matter-antimmatter chunks produced by collapse that then annihilates with Hawking radiation.I think, that because it was named a blackhole, we get ideas about it having to do with being a disc, funnel, and having time traveling abilities. From our perspective, it looks like a blackhole, rather than a star, because it's dark while having a lot of activity around it. Really, it would be like a sphere like the Sun or a Star, and the only reason it could become a disc, is because if the gravity made it shrink vertically into a disc shape. It would be a sphere or a disc, and because it's dark, it makes people's imaginations run wild about what it is. It just has gravity strong enough to keep light from escaping, but some form of particle or something comes out of it, as they have seen.
It has lots of energy in comparison to a star or the Sun, which has enough energy to heat up and light planet Earth every day. The reason it could have time traveling perceptions, is because someone would be moving away faster from the rest of the universe than light travels to that eye. But that's theoretical, because anything to see wouldn't make it. Everything would just be compressed to become part of the surface of a blackhole.
No. It's turtles all the way down.Do you ever reach a leaf node?
