In the past I used a lot of aliases. It looks like there is no way to setup an alias while having /bin/sh as the env. So today I switched it to bash, it does work. Is there any reason to not have aliases in /bin/sh? Or am I simply missing something?

Solved Network bridge set up for bhyve debian & ubuntu vm instances

It seems to be possible to do it in a different way but before you reboot after the install it also works to move debians version of it to https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/how-to-install-linux-vm-on-freebsd-using-bhyve-and-zfs/

    Moving from GhostBSD to FreeBSD

Time to more to a bit more experienced part. I had an internal network running and use cbsd for vm's. Maybe not ideal it was ok for me. I had this rc.local ( I need to check backups) that made taps, etc.... What is a good resource for this? The handbook?

    Moving from GhostBSD to FreeBSD

No problem. Been doing that for a long time and it often was a resource for more nice things to know. No problem with reading them. Been using Linux since 98 or so and had to deal with Tru64, HP-UX and Aix a bit too

    Moving from GhostBSD to FreeBSD

I will get into details soon, just out of bed :-) I used the guide Vermaden linked. It worked but somehow X was not working. * adduser did not create a home dir, when I used only adduser it did * mouse and keyboard did not work in 13.2, in 14.0 it worked out of the box I did notice some other...

    mounting ext4 drive in 14.0

Hi all, I have installed 14.0, seems to work fine. I do have one important issue. I am somehow not able to mount my ext4 backup drive file -s /dev/da2p1 /dev/da2p1: Linux rev 1.0 ext4 filesystem data, UUID=ba92da11-05dd-4fbe-8395-305459cf6808 (needs journal recovery) (extents) (large files)...
