Introduce yourself, tell us who you are and why you chose FreeBSD

[AlfredoLlaquet]

It's always been a throwaway thread to keep that garbage out of the main forums. It worked for that.

I'll take this opportunity to say that this is the kind of post the moderators should not tolerate because it clearly contradicts the FreeBSD Community Code of Conduct (https://www.freebsd.org/internal/code-of-conduct/): it is not friendly; it is not welcoming; it is not considerate; it is not respectful; it is not kind to others. Calling all the introductions of so many users garbage is everything but that.

It's an old thread. I liked it for what it is.
And now it's get used and taken over for more of the AI crap.
Why not start a new AI thread and leave this one alone?

The mods have joined Alain De Vos's "fun thread" with this one. In my opinion that was a bad decision. Alain De Vos's thread was not about introducing yourself, he just asked "why are you here" (if I'm not misremembering) which allows for many interpretations.

AlfredoLlaquet You weren't there and you weren't in on the discussion about its creation back then. I was.
The forum was getting overloaded with people posting intros when they came here. Many of them were just, "Hi!" and then they went away. These would show up everywhere and get in the way of technical questions.
