I was impressed the most by the portrayal of the captain and how young the crew were.
The old movies from the 50's all had older actors, it's easy to forget how young most people in the wars really were.

It used to be on Amazon Prime US, seems to be Hulu now.

This movie presents Hitler as some old, broken man one could feel pity with.
Nobody shall feel pity with Hitler.

He was a self-hating degenerate. Generations have wondered where it all went wrong with him. I think it's right to pity anyone that far from God.

It depicts a world where Nazism won WWII and most continents were under Nazi rule. Interestingly, the 3D scenes were created in Blender VFX.

Got an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. I saw it while traveling New Zealand, going to a film festival in Christchurch many years ago.
Not exactly your average war movie with guns and tanks and battles, but about the human drama of war time, and as I remember careful in showing nuanced personalities of all sides, not simply good versus evil.
