Just imagine , you can smell 100.000 times better then me.
My Labrador dog knows it , an alien living in a different world.
When i have a bit of stress, a few meters away....
And now , 'first contact'.
 
Just get proper glasses and you'll know.

I never liked this vague comparisons dogs vs human or similar. while it is generally considered that dogs can smell better on average human are not that outsiders in a smell world either and i would argue they are on par with many mammals. the facts - humans have insane sensitivity to certain compounds, for example the substance responsible for grapefruit smell has lowest known odor theshold value ( OTV ). human can detect tenth of part per trillion ( 0.1 ppt ) of this substance. that's less than a drop in large swimming pool. another exsmples are - soloton ( from fenugreek spice ) and geosmin ( the substance that is the "smell of rain" ). once you appreciate how unique we can be that we are the "aliens into ourselves". ponder about it.
 
That's a humongous picture, eternal_noob. Did you know that when you are editing the post, if you click on the image, a little box appears somewhere (sometimes it's a little bit hidden and you have to scroll the image; I think it's at the bottom of it) and you can select its width (or height or both) on the post? Then, if a user clicks on the image it gets bigger.

(Probably you knew and you just wanted us to see it this way).
