pkg has been updated to 2.6.0, but the -f option of pkg delete no longer works.
The database file will also be updated, so please refrain from updating until the issue is fixed.
This is being discussed on the dev-commits-ports-main mailing list.

Edit: Updated to 2.6.1.

A rare post from an African country follows. Probably there are other African members in the forum, but none that identify themselves as such that I know of.

I transcended typical window buttons :p

My washing machine broke recently so yesterday two workers came to take it and install a new one. They were polite, competent, and very quick. The process was perfect. In my experience, positive exchanges with other people, either commercial or personal, are the norm, and negative ones the exception. I'm lucky I live in a nice part of the world; that's also true.

My washing machine broke recently
Mine started acting odd one day and I had to discover some arcane knob twist trick to recalibrate it :p

That washer's annoying; apparently it's smart to lock the lid relentlessly (gotta wait a minute to open lid after spin cycle fully stopped), and when set to Hot it'll just not go through cycles if a Cold line isn't there to feed water (cold water pipe broke during winter)

I remember when I first put up my page on Japanese in Linux/*BSD a lot of things were harder. I had a separate section on printing--I don't remember what the steps were, but I think I used openoffice and had a convoluted way of getting there. I thought of this because my wife, last night, said Print these, and emailed me a few Japanese documents---I ran /usr/local/bin/lp <document_name> and it was done, no muss, no fuss, no bother.

So mysterious... The reason why you are familiar with the Japanese language remains unsaid. Is scottro Japanese? Is his wife Japanese? Are they not but one of them or they both speak Japanese? Why do they? Did they work in Japan? Are they art dealers? You don't have to answer. Mysteries can remain unsolved.

I learned Hiragana and Katakana back when I was into Anime :p Stopped at Kanji though, but I'm more interested in Chinese nowadays so maybe that'll be helpful for Kanji later.

I thought about trying to translate Runescape by tossing characters in-place of words, but I'm thinking I need to learn Git though (usually just pull or edit stuff on-website)

I just learned (searched the web) what Hiragana and Katakana are. I knew Japanese had three alphabets and what Kanji was, but that was it.

I need to learn Git
Learning Git is also something that doesn't appeal to me. We had our own version system in my company, so I never had to use anything else. Anyway, I bet you (I mean you, Espionage724) can learn it in a couple of hours while you watch some cartoons (you said you liked cartoons).

No big secret. I was doing karate and became interested in Japanese culture and language. At that time, mid 1990's I made many Japanese friends as there were, more than now, a lot of Japanese large and small businesses. (I worked in an office supply near the UN and the Japanese mission and consulate were customers.) One of these friends suggested putting an ad in the Japanese paper for language exchange, and, at the time, I had just gone through a bad breakup and had a lot of time. So, for the next few years, this wsa most of my social life, meeting my language exchange friends, and, on a weekend I would often only speak English at the karate dojo.

Anyway, one of them introduced me to my wife, who is Japanese. The place I was working near the UN, went out of business, so there was far less need for my to use Japanese at work. Additionally, my wife's English was better than my Japanese and we gradually spoke more and more in English. So, my Japanese skills are pretty much gone, though I can carry on a conversation. If we go to Japan, I can usually get by, especially if it's fairly simple subjects--I can talk about the weather, or someone's health.

I no longer do karate--back surgery and age made it almost impossible. Nowadays, I sometimes watch anime, but I usually need subtitles to understand it. Fairly uninteresting story, I fear.
