Solved I was testing freebsd-test!

I was testing how to use the FreeBSD Mailing Lists. Using freebsd-test@freebsd.org, sending and replying a few emails to the list, combining different methods of replying (ID, reply to all/list, etc), so forth and so on. It helped. Now I know how to use the Mailing Lists correctly. Then I posted my question. Few hours later: "You've got mail!". That was fast. Great! Somebody has already answered my question. I opened my mailbox. It wasn't a reply to my question. There was bunch of replies to my test emails at the freebsd-test. Replies was filled with swearing to FreeBSD, and also some remarks, with a sense of menace innuendo, hidden in its voice, targeted at me!

It's not a shocker. We all know how these things work. Spam (you have to blame Python for this one), trolls and flame, residents of lunatic asylums, etc.
But I was thinking! (thinking?). Why somebody is so mad at FreeBSD? Is it due to the project itself, or users and its contributors? Who knows! All I know somebody hates FreeBSD!

But I was thinking! (thinking?). Why somebody is so mad at FreeBSD?
Questions may be more important than answers.

So I like to ask you:

What makes you think, that 'someone at FreeBSD' cannot be less mad as someone elsewhere?

They're just trolls, trying to provoke. Just ignore them.

It looks like some poor person who actually subscribed
It actually looks like a bot that just posts random replies to anything that's posted there.

I'm not sure who manages that mailing list. But it's probably a good idea to ban this account.

More questions:
1. Why does Piotr repeat this line so often? Was he just testing?

Code:
fuck freebsd

2. Piotr has a phone number in his signature. Why not just talk to him, Sasha?

Just saying as it would be not the first time for me, at least, I used to get several "why do you keep sending me this spam, i'll sue you" over the years from some unfortunate people who didn't realize they were (still?) subscribed.

Some "unfortunate people" also do not realize that mailing lists are good sources for spammer's data-mining. Do not expect privacy there and avoid using your "valuable" email-address for mailing-lists.

So another question: Did you try to call him?
No.
[EDIT]
Either the phone number is fake or it is not.
If it's fake, then NOP.
If it's his/her real number, then probably I receive the same remarks, but this time in audible spectrum!

Cats are known to be autonomous, also regarding manners that are a highly subjective human construct.
I disagree. I believe other animals, especially cats and dogs, have personality, personal character and human-like feeling too. But I won't argue on that. I can't prove any of these. It's just my personal beliefs.

Yes, it's strange but it happens. One would think that to be a thing of the past with double opt in everywhere. It's not like in the old days where someone might have just randomly added them. At some point they have actually confirmed wanting to receive those mails but it seems that concept is just to complicated for some people.

I agree, arguments are not a method. But testing is.

Again a question:
How does it come that humans "believe" their pets have "human-like feelings"? Can we test it?

Research about animal/humans feelingg was done and they are still active. You can find on nature.com too.

This one is on me. I shouldn't post following sentence. Now topic is too off-topic! and I fear it eventually get closed by moderator.
My cat had more manner. May she (my cat) RIP.
To answer your question about testing, I have to say I really don't know. I know nothing about biology. I only know a little about arithmetic! I just shared my personal experience with cats. That's all.

I almost get the feeling there is just one very sad individual that is doing all of this "anti-freebsd" stuff.

My guess is that it is the same guy that did that absurd "about the BSDs" website. I think this guy is so bitter and twisted that little childish "tricks" such as setting up an auto response bot to the FreeBSD test lists is not outside his efforts.

For example, if he is going to waste his precious time creating that entire website full of his weird content, it is highly likely he has a lot of time to waste on other equally dumb pursuits.

I wasn't aware of that. If it's possible, could you please send me a link (in public or PM) to that site? I can't find it, All I get is about The Bipolar Spectrum Diagnostic Scale (BSDS)!
aboutthebsds. wordpress.com - not updated for years. Quite funny, though.

One of the great things about the internet is that it gives everyone a voice.
One of the worst things about the internet is that it gives everyone a voice.
Including every nut, kook, redditors, the insane and how are you Mr. Vigole?
