x server failed to start after upgrading

I was using 13.2-RELEASE and after I upgrade to 13.2-RELEASE-p1 last week I cannot open my x server

Since it said I need to specify busID, I checked my /usr/local/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf and it have

You might be looking at issues with drm-kmod. Have you attempted to reinstall all drm-kmod related packages?

I assume, i915kms is loaded? Could you please check kldstat?

When I tried startx, got the same error:
Cannot run in framebuffer mode. Please specify busIDs for all framebuffer devices

I had no xorg configurations file. It seems the automatic configuration for xorg is not working as before.

My system has a Radeon card (HD 7750) and uses the amdgpu driver.

You are not alone with xorg configuration update problems.

It seems to be loaded correctly

And I tried deinstall and reinstall my drm-kmod510 through ports(515 is not compatible with kernel before 14.0) before I post this thread.

It's missing the driver line, and should not be needed anyway if you are using drm/kms drivers with modesetting. Check that your kms driver is loaded successfully.

Sounds like wrong conclusion without providing any information, check that your kms drivers are loaded as well.

Yeah, I kinda did both system upgrade and pkg upgrade. No sure which one caused this, since you mentioned this, I do recall that I tried reboot after system upgrade. Everything was normal, so it is more likely a pkg upgrade problem
 
Got an update while I was writing previous reply :) Try removing 20-intel.conf as it looks to be wrong.
It worked!! Thank you sooo much yuripv79!!!

But I can't help notising it is slower when I tried to make changes to my WM(dwm). Like when I start a new windows or closing one, it is significantly slower. Any chance that have something to do with what I had in my old 20-intel.conf?
 
If you're using the drm-kmod driver, you shouldn't need any X11 driver.

I'd usually expect modesetting to work out of the box if you load the correct kernel module - unless it's suppressed via the relevant sysctl... I'm wondering what was in that intel.conf file?
Not much, just Identifier and BusID
 
You might benefit from trying the modesetting driver if you have loaded i915kms
