bastille doesn't do anything "special" or different, it's basically a shell script wrapper around the standard jail tools.

I chose XFCE for my daily driver on MX Linux. I really do like it. Very much impressed with how it reminds me of the Good Old Days of Win7. I stick to FBSD for server stuff with terminal control.
