I think that's just because - as you said yourself - you're not into that scene.
I'd say it's similar to my mother looking at a bunch of computers running different operating systems and saying "it seems they are all the same".
I think that is an important point. Re-writing working things is risky, and it is what the Rust enthusiasts want to do (not that they have a choice if they want to use Rust).
In a sudo replacement of all things: And not just priv escalation, partial reading of passwords.

Two security issues were discovered in sudo-rs, a Rust-based implemention

Nothing, if you have correctly set up your local build server, I presume using poudriere, your packages always match your kernel and other relevant libraries. The 'kmods' repository was introduced during the run of 14.2-RELEASE on a somewhat...
That's fine. As long as you're not running it on the same port you're trying to forward.
You also mentioned IPFW somewhere. How's that configured? Especially in regard to any port forwarding you may have done there.
I recently got interested into RenderDoc since it is a good frame debugging tool for single frames, and I need it to debug things like vertex explosions.
First of all I would like to get it to build with cmake.
Most of the errors were luckily...
Another approach for this is to look for Debian src packages.
In the Debian world the "port" is also a *.deb package and it contains the tarfile of the distfile(s).
I'm not sure how to handle this(/etc/master.passwd):-

The mirror type was originally set to "SRV" but I read somewhere to change it to "NONE".
Maybe the problem then was that my resolver wasn't working, but things look to be working now.
Many thanks.
When running pkg upgrade is there an option to create a logfile or should I do it manually.
It would be nice to have a copy of all the adviseries.
Maybe I should just pipe the output through tee.
What you are describing is not a shmup.
These are arena shooters
Are all arena shooters similar, or are all platformers similar? Yes, that's basically the point of the characterization, you look for commonality and group them by their common...

Well, now it depends on your definition of shoot-em-up games. If you make it narrow enough you will of course see more similarities.
If you are actually playing the differences are obvious. Just the specific weapons are one.
FWIW, I run 14.3-STABLE and I have:
All repositories are up to date.
Checking for upgrades (870 candidates): 100%
Processing candidates (870 candidates): 100%
Checking integrity... done (0 conflicting)
Your packages are up to date.
I had almost the same experience. My chair had wheels and to avoid to be shot one night I hit the wall with my shoulder, losing my headphones in the process and waking up my brother, who of course wasn't happy. Man, these were the days!
I'm not aware of a shooter today that comes close to Unreal Tournament 99 :p (Quake is close but has a different feel)

Yes.
:)
Even if you weren't and all the games were like that, you could claim the same about sports. "Its just a group of people playing against other group of people".
"Not works" doesn't tell us anything. Do you get an error? Does it fail to connect? User fat-fingering the password? What HAPPENS? There can be a million and one reasons WHY it does not work, but if you don't provide the information I can't do...
Found a github user with the same name, but I don't know if it's actually the same person.
https://github.com/adsharma
Probably not the same though, found an old quarterly report that mentions NGPT, it mentions the name as "Arun Sharma"...
Port got removed a long time ago. The reason for the removal was that the upstream (where the actual source code was) disappeared. So, no idea.

DEPRECATED: Upstream disapear and distfile is no more available

I should have added on to my question. Skills at doing what? Running between rooms and shooting objects? Which is my question. Aren't they all the same? Haven't we seen this movie before?
You can set the EDITOR environment variable to an editor you're more comfortable with. Or do you have a problem with the actual merge and don't know what to keep and/or remove?
On one system I'm managing to start an upgrade to 13.5-RELEASE after updating 13.2 to the last patchlevel.
Unfortunately I get stuck during the automatic merge changes process where I need to use vi to manually resolve conflicts in...
Well, today I found in my Gmail spam folder an email sent from none other than Google (some changes in the Google One conditions), so I guess that the OP shouldn't be too surprised 🤣🤣
Does it also forward the spam?
My server is only experimental, I would prefer a professional managed reliable service.
Proton is interesting, but with imap / smtp is not so easy.
This is expected. sysctl -a | grep freq reads the complete sysctl database and searches all occurences of the regular expression "freq". This is "heavy" work for the CPU. In contrast, sysctl dev.cpu.0.freq is a "simple" lookup.
You are now in...
