Xlibre is highly political to start with, despite its claim saying it's not. Xlibre's founder made it political by using what cannot be mistaken for none other than a Trump theme. No software project meant for the general community should start...
Im sorry, but i stay away from all the drama and politics. Also. Void is just a temporary home for me. As soon as issues with drm-komd are resoved, im back on freebsd.
GPT has been the default for quite some time now. And the fact you have partitions with p1, p2, etc. is an indication this is GPT. MBR uses slices and partitions; ada0s1a for example.
Board supports UEFI boot.
I remember you wrote this code on July, 27th. After that begun all the other codes, very problematic. Then working on a new copy for my OS, I have deleted all of pkg related linux with.
I'll try to use that code again and I'll see what happens.

Jack option is something I'd love to see on the port. Alexander are there any reasons to not have it?
This is synth primarily developed on Linux thus it supports ALSA and jack out of the box - no configurations for this package/port.
When...
Well, not exactly – if you wanted to say that deal was struck for the first time when he got back in late '90s. First version of MS Word For Mac was released on Jan 18 '85, Excel for Mac was released Sep 30, '85 and PowerPoint bit later, April 20...
I think it should work that way and I think the problem could be there, and not in wine port.
I have tried just plain wine package install and AIMP - its ALSA bound, there are no sound devices present, no sound devs in AIMP and ofc no sound...
How is ALSA supposed to work, anyway? Is audio/alsa-lib a shared library that oresents an alsa API to the application and internally translates to OSS? The one-line description is a little terse.
What about jackd support? That should work on...
Initially I have done exactly that and expected everything to work (the very beginning of the post). But it doesn't.
Reading the PR link you provided I guess per default wine package should produce sound via alsa-lib. I should see in winecfg...
Anyone who uses ugold, please contribute to 289119. Seeing the naming convention of old USB drivers having a u at the beginning, and newer usbhid drivers having an h at the beginning, it should probably be called hgold. If you don't have a...
My guess, and it's only a guess, is because RH threw their weight behind it. I have a friend who loathes RH and loves systemd. I annoy him by telling him that every day he should thank RH for bringing him systemd. He scoffs and says it is so...
It's not only the kernel you rebuilt, looking at your freebsd-version output your userland was also rebuilt, it too has the p6 version.
Easiest, but also the most time consuming, would be to upgrade to 14.3-RELEASE by building from source...
Ehm, I guess you reused passwords? Your registered email address shows up in 50 data breaches, including some that managed to pilfer passwords.

If you ever used the password reset function at the forum's login you know the real thing looks completely different - I never got any email from freebsd.org with some code to be verified.
That's "just a normal fake BS junk mail" you catched...
Hello, can anyone who uses ugold, please contribute to 289119.
ugold needs to work with usbhid, since this is the newer USB system that's universal rather than uhid. The newer implementation should probably be called hgold.
I realize that this...

For USB sound devices I use a small script that sets up all sysctls and the default device and gets called by devd.
E.g.:
/usr/local/etc/devd/smsl.conf
notify 100 {
match "system" "USB";
match "subsystem" "INTERFACE"...
This is where the magic algorithm comes in.
The moment you get the notification that the password you tried to use is too close (but not identical) to one you have or had X attempts before, it means the server has a way to correlate the words...
Weird error. There's no p6 security or errata for amd64, that one was for arm64 only. But that does mean sys/conf/newvers.sh got updated. So I suspect you built from source recently? p6 was never available through freebsd-update on amd64...

Netgate is sponsoring an effort to bring pf in FreeBSD to be on par functionality wise with the version in OpenBSD. As we all know, FreeBSD's version is way behind the features and functionality in OpenBSD since quite a long a time.

There have been issues regarding OSS and Wine mainly with modern DirectX games using XAudio. ALSA have been then enabled by default.
Your issue is simply that ALSA doesn't have support for midi device in our case.
Because its not an daily...

The performance of wine-10 the current package is really great at games. With DirectX to Vulkan implementation provided by winetricks stuff looks great.
I will contact the person supporting the packaging because it seems both wine and wine-devel...
I tried with a radeon RX 7600 XT released this year, and it is supported. So, 780M is probably supported, since it was released early 2023.
You can take a look on this thread.
Hi,
I hope this question must have been answered somewhere but I cannot find it. Given the 14.1-RELEASE and drm-61-kmod, does anybody know whether the recent AMD stuff is supported -- namely, AMD 7840U with 780M gpu. Considering a new Lenovo T14...
I'm actually on 14.2-RELEASE... that's where I did that patching. The FreeBSD installer for 14.2-RELEASE actually asked me if I want to install those AMDGPU modules from pkg. And now I know the answer is 'No', at least for my hardware, at least...
Well, 6 months later, it looks like the FreeBSD driver did get fixed. Right now, I grabbed a fresh copy of the ports - and it worked without needing to resort to the hack/workaround described in this thread.
I'm still glad this info was...
For a start - all FreeBSD installations I do are Auto (ZFS) with BIOS+UEFI setup.
This way - you are covered in all possible ways.
Could you try to install FreeBSD again this way?

Looks like you are right, I missed
in loader_simp. Well, looks like this is a day for auto-correction, I already messed up in another thread (99264) about /etc/printcap 🤦♂️
