xorg-server 21.1.16 security update

so the security update has been long merged in the main branch but not yet in the quarterly branch, i tried asking various people and even mailing manu@ but no response, does anyone here knows why the security update hasn't been merged yet in the quarterly branch?
 
Might be because a bunch of other dependencies had to be updated too. In any case, at the start of April a new quarterly (2025Q2) will be branched off.

yes i know there will be new quarterly in april but this update has been on hold for long so i don't think they are waiting for new quarter to arrive more so since this is a security update and i don't see any dependency update looking in the commit

so..they really were waiting for new quarterly...for a critical security update...in xorg-server

Already announced by rene@.

And as quarterly branches are always created from a point of main (aka latest) branch, nothing should be dropped unless intentionally reverted only on newly-branched quarterly after branch. But pkg for new quarterly should require a fair amount of days to complete, as there are quite a huge monstors like www/chromium and so on.
