Xfce xfce4 crashing

I had tried gnome previously and it was fine. Today I installed xfce and created .xinitrc file in cd/home/usernam and put line from handbook from exec to launch but everytime when I try to start xfce as startx or startxfce4 it crashes gives dbus error. I read that gnome and kde need dbus but not xfce then why it wants dbus to enable in /etc/rc.conf is there any other method available then dbus enable?

Well just for you I went and disabled dbus_enable="YES" and hald_enable="YES" then rebooted.
My xfce4 still working OK. I think all I lose is gvfs needs hald and xfce4 exit screen needs dbus to have shutdown option.

You have something else at fault.

You need to start the D-Bus service at least once on every new install, so it can generate /var/lib/dbus/machine-id. So run service dbus onestart and then you can service dbus onestop again. Alternatively dbus-uuidgen --ensure should work too.
