Solved xfce: remove middle lower menu (apple* style)

good day everybody,
I am completely new in this forum and may say completely new to Xfce.
Coming from Linux (many) to virtualized FreeBSD 10.2 using virtualbox.
I installed Xfce because it is very light and with slim I can work easily.

My problem is:
I want to remove the horizontal menu (apple* style menu) located on the middle of the lower side of the desktop because it is completely useless to me. (Pardon my ignorance I couldn't find the name online). More specific: it contains the desktop button, the shell button, the file manager button etc..). I tried and tried to remove it using the system menus but haven't succeed.

Wait for possible help.
Many many thanks in advance.

It is consider a "panel" in Xfce4. The default Xfce4 has 2 panels and as far as I can remember, the lower one is #2. If you right click on the lower panel there is an option to remove a panel. Be sure to select the right number.

This has a website popup screen shot about 2/3 the way down.
