Lumina desktop was made by bsd folks for bsd systems...
As a new user i use sway (wayland) and i am pleased with how it works.I'm trying to find a window manager that fits the philosophy of FreeBSD. What WM should be the perfect match?
I've used Lumina in the past when they were doing "TrueOS". It was functional, fairly easy on resources, but was mostly a "one man show" on the maintainer aspect. Current version 1.6.2 was released in 2021 according to github.freezr, I didn't know that about Lumina. I prefer window managers to desktops, but I like to have a desktop available in case I drop dead and my wife needs to access my computer, I may give that a try.
