Which desktop do you run on freebsd/linux

On FreeBSD - twm. On Linux - default DE (don't care, I use it as bhyve VM guest only).

This isn't entirely true. I use Debian 13 as a host for VMware guests (Windows 11, Windows XP). I've always used GNOME (as the default DE). Now I've switched to twm there. And I'm quite happy.

Out of curiosity, is there any reason you're not using fvwm3?
