What happened to The FreeBSD Diary?

https://www.freebsddiary.org/ hasn't had an entry since 2012. Though, it with other software related topics has continued at https://dan.langille.org and is current.

Things look quiet here. But I've been doing a lot of blogging at dan.langille.org because I prefer WordPress now. Not all my posts there are FreeBSD related. I am in the midst of migrating The FreeBSD Diary over to WordPress (and you can read about that here). Once the migration is completed, I'll move the FreeBSD posts into the new FreeBSD Diary website.

The status of The FreeBSD Diary hasn't been updated since.


Interestingly, Dan Langille is behind:

• FreshPorts
• FreshSource
• BSDCan
• PGCon (PostgreSQL Conference)

Which this is impressive. This is to show that while The FreeBSD Diary hasn't had progress for over a decade, that the diary continued in another form, and that the person behind it has currently widely used projects.

Dan is one of my favorite sources. He shows up here on the forums. I'm not going to speculate "why" but would guess "time and real life" may have been factors.
