What bizarre idiocy has lead to Anubus gatekeeping access to the Wiki?

Does it really harm you in any way? It avoids giving some people dysphoria, and you are not negatively impacted in any way. If you aren't affected and it helps some people, why be angry?
It doesn't directly affect anything (they hid it in menus raising the point why it was done; you couldn't see mention of gender without vising a random house in an area nobody goes and talking to a NPC purposely)

I don't like the concept: Humanoid characters traditionally have a gender in games. There's two versions of the game (one being modern; like Retail WoW vs Classic-era), and the Body types were only introduced on the old-school version. Plus it's a RPG and I character-customized what I wanted initially; not expecting concepts to be changed years later, on-top of paying a subscription.

I had questions for a while trying to understand why, but ended up just getting into legit classic games instead :p (I found a lot of new stuff because of that game change so I guess it worked out)

Many people, including me, don't have a male or female gender, but have a male or female body, but they don't want to be referred to as male or female. That includes their body. That is the point of what they did. What's wrong with that?

I believe if it was done with good-intent it would have been explained as-such and transparent! That update came within a largely unrelated major update and virtually buried, hidden behind UX nobody would notice. Some people don't even know they're body types now :p

It's a for-profit company and I suspect financials played more of a part vs good-will. Else, why not ask the playerbase first or make it optional?

Why would they need to explain it? Most cis people don't care and nonbinary people welcome the change. Also, the queer community doesn't have lots of money that secretly influences anything. If there was a queer agenda, then all of these disgusting, discriminitory laws would not be being passed.

The AI LLM web scrapers are freeloaders that contribute nothing back. That is the issue. They only take, with the aim of making their investors rich at the expense of everyone else. LLM's don't benefit me one iota. To hell with them.
If the current administration in the US wasn't corrupt and paid off by tech companies then I guarantee you there would be action against this huge copyright infringement pandemic. They used to get involved with torrents, this is infinitely larger.
