The .waterfox appears to contain configuration and the 'Waterfox' one s empty. $ ls -ld .[Ww]aterfox drwx------ 6 me me 512 Nov 15 2025 .waterfox $ ls -ld [Ww]aterfox drwx------ 2 me me 512 Aug 9 15:01 Waterfox Firefox doesn't appear to create either equivalent although it does create .mozilla.
