Solved Virtual terminal clipboard?

Is there such a thing as a 'virtual terminal clipboard' so that I can copy and paste between different VTs?

There is. It works a little different from Xorg though. But you can definitely copy and paste on the console. It does require a running (and working) moused(8).

Copy text by selecting it: 1. left-click and hold, 2. move mouse till the end of the intended selection, 3. release; or 1. left-click, 2. release, 3. right-click at the end of the intended selection.

Paste text at the current cursor location by middle-clicking or pressing the shift+insert combination.

With a two-button mouse (rare, but still out there), a middle click can be sent by clicking both mouse buttons simultaneously.
