ZFS Vdev Became Latent Error

I have been receiving these type of error under messages log,

"vdev became latent - /dev/multipath/62969-L6Gf"

I am trying to find the cause of it but couldn't. Using FreeBSD 12.0 with amd64 arch. Two pools with raidz-1 and mirror of 2TB disks.

Getting this type of error for the random vdev's of both pools.

Could someone tell me what could have caused the issue? Also need to know the error severity like whether I should be worried of disks health?

Out of curiosity I searched for "latent" in FreeBSD's /usr/src and found it in only couple of files, all of them unrelated to ZFS or storage. Would you share the output of uname -a; freebsd-version -ku.

FreeBSD 12.0 has been end-of-life since February 2020 and is not supported any more. Please upgrade to a supported version.

Bobi B. We are using an customized OS derived from 12.0 base with generic kernel and amd64 architecture.

SirDice Thanks for your update. We will try to upgrade our OS using 12.1 or 12.2 base. Which one you suggest?
