jails Upgrade from 13.2 to 14.2. Are Jails automatically upgraded too (it looks like it is)?

Hello all,

I did an upgrade from 13.2 to 14.2, but i expected also to upgrade the jails with this command:
ezjail-admin update -U -s 13.2-RELEASE

But when i was checking the jails with this command:
uname -a

I see this output:

FreeBSD oci 14.2-RELEASE-p1 FreeBSD 14.2-RELEASE-p1 GENERIC amd64

Does this mean that the jails were upgraded during the release upgrade of the host system?

Or do i still have to upgrade the jails also?

uname(1) shows the version of the kernel. Jails run on the host's kernel. Use freebsd-version -u; freebsd-version(1).

And no, upgrading the host doesn't "automagically" upgrade your jails.
