Uhm-urgencyyy. On quarterly repo but pulling latest version

Ok, so I have a problem.

I am on a quarterly repo (was on latest but switched back). My installed KDE version is 6.6.4, which is fully 2026Q2 branch (it switched to 6.6.5 May 12). But when I run pkg upgrade it wants to upgrade me to KDE version 6.6.6 (which is 2026Q3 branch).

What is going on? This is so messing me up right now.

There is no evil THIS messing you up. Somebody decided to jump from quarterly to latest and back, ask them.

Pick a repro and stick with it... Jumping back and forth is a direct road to dependency hell...

Preliminary investigation report: Someone did a merge from head backport as a bugfix - probably. Both quarterly and latest repos show 6.6.6 - but why?

I have no idea how to find who did this and why or what's going on. Is there a special way to track MFHs? We did have a konsole fix that needed to be merged from the main, but it looks like everything from the main is now getting merged to the previous quarterly.
