touchpad not working on Lenovo Thinkbook 15-IIL

hello,
I have installed FreeBSD 15.1 on my Lenovo ThinkBook 15-IIL and have not found a way yet to make the touchpad work. The keyboard seems to be working of fine so far. The touchpad is a Buttonless Mylar® surface multi-touch touchpad.
I also loaded. ig4, iichid.

Can you paste your usbconfig and xinput output ?

Looked a bit around and apparently these models are notorious for their buggy ACPI firmware. The fix might require an ACPI DSDT override. Exciting stuff

Using and Debugging FreeBSD ACPI

Might be worth checking with the manufacturer for a bios update. cross fingers it might have sorted this mess out (unlikely)

Hi,
I have an Lenovo Thinkbook 14-IIL 20SL and installed Freebsd 14.1 and Xorg on it. The keyboard is working so far but the touchpad is not working and I would say not detected as well.

I tried several configurations via /usr/local/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d by copying the shared examples from /usr/local/shareX11/xorg.conf.d. In other words I tried using the libinput...
