Touchpad and Trackpad Buttons Problems on T480

Hello,
i am using a Thinkpad T480 with i3/xorg.
Recently my touchpad started lagging and my trackpad buttons just stopped working sometimes.
It might work sometimes and then i get responses when using "xinput test 'TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint'", but then it just stops working. I have tried different drivers (libinput and synaptics) but nothing seems to work.

It works perfectly on linux. Anyone knows what i can do?
 
Is only the touchpad affected or also the Xorg session as a whole?

Some systems experience Xorg lag and freeze due to graphics driver, which graphics driver is loaded on the system?

its only the touchpad and trackpad devices. everything else runs smoothly
