The rendering on Firefox-ESR is terrible, even on this forum.

Given:
FreeBSD none 15.0-RELEASE-p1 FreeBSD 15.0-RELEASE-p1 releng/15.0-n280999-7bceec30b351 GENERIC amd64 1500068 1500068
firefox-esr-140.7.0_2,2
What kind of trick is this (see screenshot)?
How come instead of the FreeBSD logo (the red one with horns), four stripes are displayed on our forum tabs?
But on the translation page, everything is fine (the logo is displayed correctly)?
I've circled everything in blue. But if you refresh the forum page using F5, the NORMAL logo appears for half a second, and then those 4 vertical green stripes appear again.

do you have other browsers on the same system? If so do they "work"?
If they do, then I think you have a basis for comparison in the settings. Fonts, locale, something. Themes?
But I would expect something like the logo to render correctly since it's a png image.

You should be able to right click on the logo and save the image. Do that and then try to open it as a file in firefox. That would eliminate any css or other style sheet

It's something with Firefox. This is a screenshot from Falkon. There are no special effects here. Let me tell you this: my power kept going out while Firefox was running. I think it was because of this sudden power outage. Naturally, the entire system crashed with a bang. This is all on a ZFS (two SSD drives in a stripe). But I've had Firefox crash on a different PC, this one with UFS. After the entire system crashed, I booted into single-user mode and fixed the file system. And here's what's happening: ZFS can't handle a power outage properly. By the way, after this crash, I noticed that Firefox started loading in a miniature window instead of full-screen mode. Basically, I figured I'd just have to reset Firefox completely... that's bad. But I'll do it. I'll report back. Once again I was convinced that ZFS is very bad at repairing the system after an instantaneous power outage.

Thanks. I'll definitely try that. I'm not familiar with such details. By the way, I see a striped background instead of the attached image. What is that?
I saw several threads here tagged "ZFS + power outage." There, too, data was completely lost in the depths of the ZFS.
:)

Ahh.
My experience with ZFS and sudden power pull is "it depends". If the the system has been doing mostly reads, very small chance of issues. If it's mostly writes, a greater chance because of the way ZFS groups writes so better chance of mismatch between metadata and actual data.

Have you tried start firefox with a new profile and in safe mode?

I'm going to deliberately crash the entire system now. We'll see if Falkon can handle it or if it also fails to recover properly...

The entire profile crashed. I'll fix it. I'll report the results later. Everything is fine on the TWM, even under root. So, after the PC crashed, the entire user profile crashed. Because Falkon isn't displaying everything properly either.
I'm attaching a picture from Falkon below. If the striped background appears again, the entire session profile crashed... If you see a normal picture, then the Firefox profile crashed.
