Agreed. I say live and let live. I like and use FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and Slackware. I find it odd that users need to thrash another OS.
 
I've been "odd" quite a long time. :e And I'm sorry, but most of my efforts at self-improvement lead me farther from 'normal' (whatever that is). Perhaps I live in the wrong place.

I'm not bashing CentOS ... I like it; it's running what is at least *supposed* to be my livelihood - and doing a decent job - but I like FreeBSD better ;) So, I'm praising FreeBSD ... and I think I'm doing it on "freebsd.org" last I checked. It could be that it's a bit odd to get offended on a FreeBSD forum when someone praises the OS and uses a Linuxen for comparison?

Granted, I suppose I should've said, "FreeBSD is much better than stone tablets".

But then I probably would have upset some quarryman someplace. :OOO

Sure. Each to his own. I just think that it is bad form to slam an OS that someone else enjoys. But, that is just me, I suppose. I would not post criticisms of FreeBSD in my Slackware forum. I have respect for users in other communities.
 
It is bad to bash OS without any real justification. It is not bad to bash anything if there's a good argument to support it. Hell people bash governments, they might as well bash a half-baked OS.

I say, we need more bashing on things as a daily outlet.

Well, that was fun. Most of these topics spiral down into (mutual) name-calling anyway, so one more closed ;)
