Solved syntax highlighting in vi

is there any way to get syntax highlighting natively in vi editor?

Manpages have been colorized through termcap, which there's some examples here: Thread Colorize-your-bsd-shell.85458. Other CLI programs use the same concept.
~/.nexrc is used for vi and vim configuration. (vim has a much better typing interface.)

OK thanks I'll take a look at it. I have read that vi doesn't support it natively and that sh doesn't support array variable... another topic
