Solved Split personality - 14.0-RELEASE-p8 or 14.0-RELEASE-p6?

a $ doas freebsd-updatefreebsd-update fetch just gave me this:

Code:
src component not installed, skipped
Looking up update.FreeBSD.org mirrors... 3 mirrors found.
Fetching metadata signature for 14.0-RELEASE from update1.freebsd.org... done.
Fetching metadata index... done.
Inspecting system... done.
Preparing to download files... done.

No updates needed to update system to 14.0-RELEASE-p8.

WARNING: FreeBSD 14.0-RELEASE-p6 is approaching its End-of-Life date.
It is strongly recommended that you upgrade to a newer
release within the next 2 months.

Without inspecting the source of freebsd-update I can speculate that the two versions refer to kernel and userland. It would be nice if above WARNING were clear about that, thank you.

Message is only shown every once in a while, not constantly. FreeBSD 14.1 was released last June, so 14.0 will be EoL three months later, in September 2024.
