Spelling highlights

Is there a way to disable the distracting spelling highlights, the squiggly red underlines on words that the forum software thinks is misspelled but usually are not? Is that a new feature, or did I have it disabled somehow before? It's not in the User CP options.
 
It's a web browser feature, not a forums feature.

You can disable it globally in the browser; unfortunately not on a site-by-site basis.
 
It didn't start until after I got back from BSDCan. Maybe they changed the default on a recent version. In any case, if you right-click it gives an opportunity to add words to the dictionary.
