When I change the wallpaper background image on my Gnome 2.23.1 (same on previous version) via System>Preference>Apperance>Background, it takes about 10 seconds to the new image. It seems to be set to change step by step to a new image slowly. Is there a way to disable this feature and instantly change the wallpaper?
