selecting mouse cursor theme in LXDE

I installed the dmz cursor theme via pkg install cursor-dmz-aa-theme, but I cannot figure out how to select the theme. When I open LXAppearance I do not see it listed as an option. Does anyone know how to select this theme?

I do not run LXDE nor utilize a custom cursor theme but I have seen some Xorg documentation on changing the cursor theme. I did a quick Google search and found this Arch Linux wiki. It suggests that the lxappearence package will configure this for you (I did not look to see if it is available in FreeBSD) and more importantly, how to manually configure the cursor. Hope this helps

Thanks @shepper for the info. What I am puzzled about is where the theme was installed after I did pkg install cursor-dmz-aa-theme. I don't see anything in /usr/share/icons/ and ~/.icons only has the default theme and themes I installed via LXAppearance.

For now I just downloaded the DMZ theme from KDE-looks and installed with LXAppearance.

That I can help with. I know that both FreeBSD and OpenBSD provide a "plist" which is essentially a list of the installed files. For your package the plist is
here in your friendly FreshPorts Web site. Just enter your package into the search box
