Hello! First time posting, long time lurker - apologies if this is in the wrong section. I acquired some free Dell servers awhile back and have been having fun messing with stuff like Proxmox, etc. However, recently I have decided to strip it all down to a bare FreeBSD install since I mostly just use it for a NAS and Plex Server.
The only other software I used daily on the server was Roon [1], a proprietary music software. The main reason I use it is the ease of running it wherever I want in my house, plus the powerful DSP and good library software - I currently just have it on a basic Ubuntu Server install on a Lenovo Mini PC.
Has anyone ever been successful to get Roon running either directly or in a jail? I planned on spending part of the weekend attempting to get it going, but realized getting sound (especially conversions) to work properly might be beyond my skillset (and patience). I have been reading more in regards to freeBSD audio[2] and jails, so maybe it could be possible, but not sure it's worth it?
Roon Server required dependancies:

Roon Server required dependancies:
ffmpeg
libasound2 - do not see this in Ports
cifs-utils - do not see this in Ports
glibc - not sure if the version will be compatible
Recent Linux Kernel - Compat lists version 5.15, so pretty old
Firewall Settings (Multicast and Broadcast traffic must be allowed in the firewall)
