general/other Running an application that is delivered as a Linux flatpak?

I want to run a Linux application that is delivered as a flatpak (Bitwig).

I know nothing about Flatpak except that is isn't as bad as Snaps with its systemd dependencies. Are Flatpaks a container format that you can reasonably extract the binaries and shared libs from? What about other data (Bitwig will have a lot of other resources)? What does a Flatpak look like inside?

Any existing art?
