You just love FreeBSD?
You want to climb the tallest tree (or at least the tallest jail) and shout it for the whole internet to hear?
You’re not here to list technical reasons.
You’re not here because every other OS traumatized you.
You’re here because you have developed… feelings.
Actual, honest-to-Beastie feelings for good code.
You’ve come to the right place.
I looked around the forums trying to find a place where I could just pour my heart out without any obligation to explain myself.
There are some great threads already:
I didn’t want that.
I just wanted a place where people can say “I love you FreeBSD” with zero explanation required.
And honestly, this isn’t even off-topic.
There’s just… no proper forum category for pure, unfiltered FreeBSD affection.
Maybe we need a “FreeBSD Love” section.
Just saying.
So this is not another “Why I switched from Linux” thread.
This is not a therapy session for people still recovering from systemd.
This is pure, unfiltered, slightly unhinged public displays of affection for FreeBSD.
No lists.
No benchmarks.
No “ZFS is better because…”.
Just pure love.
Climb the tree.
Shout it.
Write a love letter.
Confess that the boot messages make you feel things.
Admit you’ve named your servers after Beastie and whisper sweet nothings to them at 3 a.m.
This isn’t hippies smoking one or two servers.
This is beautiful people enjoying beautiful code and appreciating the art of love where no humans (and very few Linux users) have ventured before.
So… who’s in?
RSVP by just posting your pure, shameless FreeBSD affection below.
I’ll start:
I love FreeBSD so much that sometimes I just sit and watch top like it’s a romantic comedy.
No, seriously — I’m enjoying this OS so much that I needed a separate thread just to let the overflow out.
The only kind of overflow you’ll ever get with FreeBSD.
Who’s next?

- Does FreeBSD make you happy? Explain why
- What Do You Love Most About FreeBSD?

- Why FreeBSD, if I may..
- Okay, so what's so great about FreeBSD?
