root Data analysis framework made at CERN

Hello,

I use FreeBSD 13.2-RELEASE-p9 as desktop and use a couple of program frameworks for scientific purposes. In particular, I need the data analysis framework ROOT which was developed at CERN. When I started using FreeBSD (13.1-Release-p?) it was possible to install ROOT via pkg. After upgrading to the current release (I have a test machine which I have upgraded to 14.0-Release-p6; here I found the same problem) I cannot find the ROOT package even ROOT seems to be part of the packages --> https://www.freshports.org/devel/root/#history
According to this website the port for ROOT should still be maintained or I have to say that this is my interpretation?

When I type
sudo pkg search ROOT
I cannot find ROOT the Data analysis framework made at CERN so I cannot install it. I see the same situation in case of using the ports. I expected to find the root port in /usr/ports/devel/root, but it does not exits.

Does anybody know, how to interpret this situation.

Best Regards
Carsten

It's been having build errors, which is why there's currently no package: https://portsfallout.com/fallout?port=devel/root$

Quick look says it's having problems with pkg-plist.

You do need to have a ports tree installed.
