Is this about MOC itself not playing .wav files, or just MOC on FreeBSD?

Looks like MOC can play wav:

But looks like it needs ffmpeg and that was disabled some time ago:

What binary? What guy? I know that English isn't your first language, and you do so well, but you do leave out a lot of important details that make it a bit difficult to understand what exactly you are after.

Dear richardtoohey2 :
1. pkg install moc
2. from source code install : /usr/ports/audio/moc/# make install clean , i have enabled wav enable . that was default...

two way to play wav file with moc , all failed...i think that was moc big bugs.
sorry my english was so bad ...thanks.

From the link in Freshports it looks like you will need ffmpeg to play wav files, but moc will not build against the newer ffmpeg versions so that option was removed.

You say it works with cmus: https://www.freshports.org/audio/cmus/

You can see that cmus is still built against ffmpeg so maybe that is how cmus still has support.

I do not use any of these things so I'm just going off what the Freshports messages say.
