Python 3.12 and 3.13

I feel like I'm missing something here. I have synced the latest HEAD of the ports collection and the latest version of Python there is 3.11, likewise if I use the port search tool here:

FreeBSD Ports Search

ports.freebsd.org

and look for python311 it shows the correct package but nothing shows up with python312 which I find strange as it has been out for nearly a year at this point and Python 3.13 is due to be released next week.

the python3 package is just a link to the python311 package.

What am I doing wrong here? Thank you for any help.

Due to the design/philosophy of the ports tree, python is a constant pain and requires substantial efforts from the ports team.
It's one of these "touch one thing, break 37 other things" situation.
