Until now I used librewolf, but thanks to fernandel, I realized that it is a sub-optimal solution, as it still makes some outward connections to places, I would like to avoid, and is a little bit behind firefox if it comes to security patches.
Actually I wanted to give the Mullvad browser a try.
It is not yet ported to FreeBSD, but I read that it can work with linuxulator, although without sound so far.
Firefox with arkenfox would be my second choice.
As I understand it, arkenfox is a user.js template for firefox.
In what way does it differ to librewolfs default settings ?
Quoted from arkenfox:
Should I use TOR for everyday browsing if I have a VPN ?
Could TOR minimize my fingerprinting even more compared to firefox ?
I read that using TOR can make me stand out from the crew, but is it possible to change the outside of TOR to be recognized as firefox for other servers ?

Ok, if it is possible my third choice for everyday browsing would be TOR.TOR BROWSER
If your threat model calls for anonymity and advanced fingerprinting protection, USE TOR BROWSER. You can also use Tor Browser for everyday browsing as another secondary browser. However, you're going to want a non-Tor Browser browser too, which is Firefox, so carry on reading.
