pkg search not the same on the konsole instead at the ports website

thank you very much...another thing is happening: when installing scilab, gnu octave 11 is uninstalled.
When reinstalling Gnu octave, it requires to remove scilab.
Does anyone have this situation? how to solve it?

well, Most likely the two Maths program have dependencies for differnet versions of some subsystem.
the one can not live with the version of the subsystem expected by the other. the reson that this happend could be that the packages were created at
different points in time. and that the specific subsystem changed during that time.

You should be able to see which packages are installed and removed together with respective Math program.

Probably only remedy is to build both packages Locally on your computer from an updated PORTS distribution ( see Handbook. chapter 4.5 )
and attempt to make both programs use the same subsytems.
