Solved pkg not finding upgrades

I clean installed 10.2. pkg upgrade Gives: Checking for upgrades (0 candidates) and claims my packages are up to date. But if I look in

http://pkg.freebsd.org/freebsd:10:x86:64/latest/All/

I can see that my packages are not up to date. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Did you read the release notes?

The default pkg(8) repository set in /etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf now defaults to the quarterly package set. To use the latest branch (as was the previous default), the comment at the top of /etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf explains how to disable the default repository and specify an alternative repository. Yes, but not entirely and not with full attention.

After upgrading from 10.1-RELEASE you are supposed to do a pkg upgrade -f to reinstall all packages, right?
It was rather confusing, because pkg wanted to downgrade various packages. That didn't seem to belong when upgrading to a newer release.

Not needed after a minor upgrade, but it won't do any harm. It would be required after a major upgrade though.
