Solved PHP 5.3 in FreeBSD 10.2 :(

Hello I use PHP 5.3 and it was very good running on 10.1.

Because of the vb forum is old I do not want to update that will occur because of errors in the Style Forum. I've upgraded yesterday my server to 10.2 but I can not find PHP 5.3 and when provided PHP 5, PHP 5.5, or PHP 5.6 the forum software does not work properly.

I did not find in ports and pkg. How can I install PHP 5.3? I need detailed explanation. For it is impossible to upgrade Forum because I will need to change style in Forum

I apologize because I speak Arabic

Hello. lang/php53 reached end of life on 14 Aug 2014 and was removed from the ports collection. That's over a year of unfixed security issues in PHP 5.3. See http://php.net/supported-versions.php. The PHP project does not support legacy releases so your only option would be to update to a supported release. If the forum software you are using doesn't support running on supported PHP releases than you should work with them to resolve it.

OT - I had this exact same issue with a previous employer who used an older version of CodeIgniter on Linux. When I told them their version of CI would not work on a new install of their OS with a new version of PHP, they thought it was best I be removed from the project. To this day, that project has not appeared online.

Thank you for helping me

Do you know what version of Forum compatible with PHP? Should I ask vb company in order to know the version is compatible or is there a specific site I can find out the appropriate version of the forum?

That is helpful. Thank you.

Based on http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?p=2167933, dated 28 Feb 2011, vBulletin 3.8.7 was the last maintenance release of the series. Your only option would be to upgrade to a supported vBulletin release and ensure that release is compatible with PHP releases that are supported by the PHP Project.
These 2 releases are the final releases for both vBulletin 3 and vBulletin Blog. Both products will still be eligible for patches for known Security Vulnerabilities until vBulletin 4.2 is released.
