I'm in the process of trying to recover my LAN server/gateway at the moment and want to put something in place which will provide a temporary stopgap. The obvious problem is that none of my systems will get an IP address or have Internet access, but before I can configure those I need to have a static IP address an a system which normally uses DHCP.
Hopefully this will only be a temporary solution.
I don't know why the server failed although the disk is intact and can be booted from, but it no longer seems to boot from my Lenovo ThinkStation.
