notebook was crashing during installation

My notebook was crashing completely during kde-lite installation from ports.
What can I do now, is it a correct way?

1.) check all partitions in user single mode using fsck

2.) start the kde-lite installation using 'make install clean' again

BTW kde-lite will be installed from the beginning or it will continue?
 
Did any errors pop up on the console or in the logs when your computer crashed? It's a good idea to find out what caused the problem before trying again.

As for installing KDE again, if you wish to start anew, do $ make clean before building it again, or the old files will still be there.
 
Howto check at the End if kde-lite and all dependencies were sucessfully installed?
