Hello again,
I went into the bios to see if there was a way to switch cards. I found a video option that offered either hybrid or disrecte. It asked me to save changes although i'm not sure what I changed bur when it rebooted I had both monitors working and was able to move the mouse between screens. I'm honestly not sure what I did right, but I thank you for the tip and thank you for all the patience and understanding shown to me. Would it be safe to consider this problem solved?
