I use Intel 2-port Gigabit Ethernet NIC -- every one of my computers uses that exact same nic. I find it an inexpensive way to get reliable gigabit ethernet, and I like having two-ports so that each of my computers is capable of talking on a public-facing route that connects to Internet and on a private-network for file sharing and backup.
