Music…

as blackbird9 put my mind on the Faces... Where I grew up, a suburb of NYC, there was the Capitol (Capital?) theatre which had as good a collection of bands as Fillmore East--Capital was closer and the train cost less. I remember seeing them--I know Rod Stewart was with them and I'm pretty sure Ron Wood at the time. Anyway, I don't remember much about it--this was the early 70's at latest--I remember kissing my date who I'd had crush on for long time, and I was over the moon that she went with me. Anyway, don't even know if they did this one at the concert, but I think it's my favorite Faces song.

And despite the lyrics, I'm kind of glad I didn't know then what I know now. I would have missed a lot of things.

I do remember them doing Baby I'm Amazed with Stewart singing the lead that night.

Maybe it's not all that well known outside the UK that "Faces" was slang for gangsters inside the london crime scene. So "small faces" means junior gangsters...

I'm one of the non UK-ers who didn't know that. Somewhere I'd read it was because they were short (not kidding, but I don't remember where I saw that).

Spannered in Pilton...
