This isn't strictly music, although they have put some background music on. But it's too good not to post it here. Watch in 4K!
We need to look after that blue planet...
At a local Trader Joe's where I frequently go (hrm, sounds like a poem), they often have this one on. I'm putting a link to the official video, which has Dr. House (Hugh Laurie, looking as he did in Blackadder) and John Malkovich in it.
I heard it the other day, at Trader Joe's and it's been stuck in my head for awhile now. Sorta depressing lyrics to such a bouncy song. And watching her sing it in the live version, she really seems to be having fun.
This was the closing song of an anime movie Hatarubi no mori (Forest of Fireflies). I couldn't find one with both Japanese and English lyrics, though the Japanese lyrics are shown. I imagine that anyone interested could find a translation fairly easily. Anyway, it's a beautiful song in my opinion, even if you don't understand the lyrics.
And one more very different one. This reminds me of the late 70's, when on Friday or Saturday night, I'd put on my blue corduroy jumpsuit and went down to the disco. I think this song came out later than that, but written by Prince, harmonica by Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan on vocals. This one can always put me in a good mood.
